Valeria Minadirova won the race in Almaty

Athlete from Kyrgyzstan, Valeria Minadirova, won the international race held in Almaty (Kazakhstan).

The Winter Run, which annually gathers participants, took place on February 15 and attracted around 2500 athletes. Nine athletes from Kyrgyzstan participated in the competition.

Children under 15 ran a distance of 3 km along one of the central streets of Almaty.

11-year-old Valeria took first place among girls with a time of 12 minutes and 9 seconds, which allowed her to finish second in the overall standings, just 8 seconds behind Kazakh athlete Alimzhan Abdikadirov.

Valeria trains at the sports school named after Dzhumanazarov under the guidance of honored coach of Kyrgyzstan Rimma Borisova.

In the summer of 2025, she winned the Summer Relay, which also took place in Almaty.

At the same time, adult participants competed in the 10 km distance. Ruslan Minadirov finished the race in 7th place in the overall standings and took 3rd place in the 30-39 age category.
