At the session of the Osh City Council, the work and budget of the football club "Alaï" came under scrutiny. Local deputies expressed concern over the discrepancy between the massive financial investments and the team's sports achievements.

Beksultan Usenov, a deputy from the "Bir Bol" faction, addressed Mirlan Bakirov, the club's director, with a question about the feasibility of increasing funding. "In 2018, your budget was 18 million soms, and this year it has increased to 50 million soms. What are the results of the club with such an increase?" Usenov asked.

In response, Mirlan Bakirov acknowledged that the last seasons had not brought the expected results: in 2024, the club took 4th place in the tournament, and in 2025, its performance dropped to 5th place.

To illustrate more efficient spending of funds, Beksultan Usenov cited the example of a boxing school, which, with a significantly smaller budget of 5 million soms, managed to achieve high results, including a silver medal at the Olympic Games. "Comparing this to the budget of FC 'Alaï', which requires careful scrutiny, it becomes clear that the club's funding raises questions," the deputy emphasized.

The First Deputy Mayor of Osh, Omorbek Torobaev, reported that this issue had already been discussed at a meeting of the relevant committee and assured the deputies that the club's financial activities would undergo detailed analysis.
