
The Committee on Science, Education, and Sports of the Jogorku Kenesh approved in the first reading a draft law concerning amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Physical Culture and Sports." The initiator of this draft law was the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, Urmat Asanbaev, emphasized that the goal of the draft law is to create comfortable conditions for people engaged in adaptive sports, including those with hearing impairments.
Additionally, the draft proposes amendments regarding the regulation of relations between republican federations and state bodies responsible for physical culture and sports. It also includes provisions concerning the accounting of athletes' work experience.
Asanbaev also noted that the adoption of new rules to ensure the safety of spectators at sporting events will help improve order and safety at all sporting events held in the country.
During the discussion, Deputy Rustambek uulu Sovetbek raised the issue of the need to create equal conditions for supporting sports federations, especially in the context of volleyball development.
Another deputy, Gulsharqan Kultaev, emphasized the importance of including deaflympic sports in the legislation, as well as the need to clarify norms regarding senior and personal coaches.
Bolot Sagynaev suggested paying special attention to the development of school sports leagues in volleyball and other sports. He also touched upon the topic of preparations for the World Nomad Games and the selection of their mascot.
Seidbek Atambaev discussed mechanisms for encouraging athletes and requirements for sports federations.
Saltanat Amanova expressed support for the proposed amendments and clarified information about the percentage of changes in current legislation. She also raised questions about supporting the salbuurun federation in the context of organizing the World Nomad Games.
Chairperson Toktobubu Ashymbaeva addressed issues of funding for athletes in preparation for international competitions in Olympic, Paralympic, and deaflympic disciplines.
