According to information provided by Kamchybek Tashiev, the chairman of the State Committee for National Security, a new stadium with a capacity of 30,000 spectators is planned to be built in Manas. This statement was made during his trip to the Jalal-Abad region.
Tashiev specified that the construction work is scheduled to start next year, and it will take place at the site of the current airport.
He noted: "The airport area covers 80 hectares. A modern city will be built on this site, which will include a stadium for 30,000 seats, making it the second largest in the country. If the airport is relocated next year, we will begin construction."
