The visit of the official delegation of Kyrgyzstan, headed by Nurbek Tashbekov, the head of the department of political and economic research of the presidential administration, to the United Kingdom took place as part of the forum "Resources of Tomorrow - 2025," organized within the framework of the annual Mining Week in London. During the meeting with Stephen Doughty, the UK Minister of State for Europe, North America, and Overseas Territories, issues of cooperation between the two countries were discussed.

The parties reviewed the current state and opportunities for expanding cooperation, including increasing mutual investments and strengthening business ties, as well as joint projects.

As a result of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the government of the United Kingdom regarding critical minerals.

The agreement envisions cooperation in geological research, the implementation of modern environmental, social, and governance standards, as well as the development of business contacts and the exchange of experience.

The signing of this memorandum will open new horizons for deepening Kyrgyz-British relations, expanding economic partnership, and creating additional opportunities for attracting investments and implementing projects in the field of critical minerals.
