Kyrgyzstan asked Lithuania to inform about possible restrictions for cargo carriers

On December 8, a telephone conversation took place between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Meder Abakirov, and his Lithuanian counterpart, Audra Plepite. During the conversation, issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed, as well as conditions regarding the crossing of the Lithuanian border by Kyrgyz freight carriers.

The Kyrgyz side emphasized the need to strengthen dialogue and interaction between the foreign policy agencies of the two countries. Both sides confirmed their desire to conduct political consultations aimed at further developing cooperation.

In a separate part of the conversation, issues concerning the crossing of the Lithuanian border by freight carriers from Kyrgyzstan were addressed. Bishkek highlighted the importance of receiving timely information about any possible restrictions or temporary measures that may be introduced on the Lithuanian side. According to the Kyrgyz side, the prompt transmission of such information will help ensure the smoothness of transportation and the quick resolution of emerging issues.

In addition, Meder Abakirov and Audra Plepite discussed the current state and future prospects of cooperation in areas such as trade and economic interaction, agriculture, the processing industry, and other sectors.
