Semetei. Semetei's Trip to Talas. Part - 3
Semetey's Journey to Talas. Part - 3
Almambet is gone, and a miracle has happened
A mother carried her child in her womb for six years
Upon his birth, he was named Kulchoro
As Almambet once bequeathed!
Three years later, Aruuke dies
Kulchoro is left without his mother's shoulder
He was raised by Alma's younger wife
The daughter of Khan Esenkhan – Burulcha
Abike decided to take Burulcha as his wife
A wicked khan began to pursue her
She flatly refused the marriage
He cut her hair and threw her to the shepherds!
A leaky hut became her dwelling
She had nothing to wear, under the arch of the sky
For several heavy years in a row
She worked tirelessly as a milkmaid
Kulchoro turned six years old
Six scoundrels turned him into a slave
They forced the young boy to herd sheep
All mocked him and even beat him
Learning that Kulchoro had slaughtered a sheep
For the widow and the little orphans, Allah
The villains beat him to death
Since then, he fled and hides in the mountains
The heroes crossed the mountain ridge
They observed a leaky hut ahead
They learned it belonged to Burulcha
Where she lived with Kulchoro
When they approached the hut
Burulcha was seen by Bakay and Semetey
They leaned on their axes, crying loudly
Swaying from side to side, then dismounted
A dead woman, without a grave, in the bloom of her years
Hungry and without clothes, Burulcha was
Can she be called alive? There is no life in her!
She lived in a terrible condition!
Semetey took out clothes from his bag
He handed over the good to the suffering one
A gift for Burulcha from Kanakey
On the occasion of Kulchoro's birth
He handed over clothes for Kulchoro
That Kanakey sewed before dawn
Bakay slaughtered a mare as a sacrifice
In memory of the deceased Khan Almambet
Burulcha told how after her husband's death
Abike forced her and Kyobesh
How she decided to kill herself
But three-year-old Kulchoro snatched the knife
When Bakay and Semetey were riding
Kulchoro had a prophetic dream
An unfamiliar man approached on a bull
He looked into his eyes and sternly said:
- "Never retreat in the face of the enemy!
You will be fortunate, so do not fear
You have a brother, the son of Manas
He is twelve years old, prepare for friendship with him!
- He must come to Talas!"
Out of fear, Kulchoro woke up
He ran to his mother in the hut
Seeing horses by the shelter, he was horrified!
"Where did these people come from? Who has arrived?"
Approaching, he greeted the guests
Bakay and Semetey began to kiss him
To delight him with good news
- When will we take revenge for the evil? - asked the youth
I am young, I do not yet have that power
When will we take back from the enemies
All our plundered possessions?
Bakay and Burulcha were upset
They cried out loudly, responding:
- We would not see any grief or misfortune
If Manas and Almambet were alive!
Kanakey must be married off to Abike
Semetey seemed to read the youth's thoughts
Gather the choro, unite the people and the army
To take revenge on the Chinese for their father!
- Revenge, brothers, for the father is a noble deed!
Bakay replied, - But know that the heirs
Bring you nothing good
Your father's relatives are traitors!
For they are the reason we are despised
Homeless wanderers, deprived of a corner
Manas gathered the choro, distributed horses, clothes
For the good deeds, they repaid us with evil!
Semetey climbed the hill with Bakay
They saw a hero in armor, of otherworldly strength
Riding a huge horse, dark red
Half the size of a mountain and in stature!
Semetey boiled with rage, whipped his horse's flanks
Caught up with the hero and thrust his spear, getting into the mood
The spear shattered into pieces from the blow
And to the giant – it was like a flea bite!
The giant turned around and in his turn
Struck the horse with a whip, just once
He dealt Semetey a blow with an axe
Semetey lost consciousness at that moment!
He was confused, not knowing what to do
He decided to turn back, foreseeing disaster
He quickly returned to Bakay
Letting the horse loose, in a hurry
- What happened to you, Semetey?
What did you see? An army from China?
Excited and surprised behind him
The wise Bakay's question sounded
Looking around, Bakay saw in the distance
A hero riding like a mountain
With a spear of twelve spans in hand
In the other, a steel shield and a sharp axe
It seemed to him that Khan Manas was riding
The resemblance was great, in a moment of an hour
When the rider approached, Bakay
Recognized Kardygaсh – Manas's sister
She asked, greeting Bakay
Is my brother alive, and mother Chiyyrdy and Kanakey?
She told of the giants, Akdoo and Kokdoo
She had to fight with them for seven years!
- I have come, - said Kardygaсh
To ask for any help from the choro
To defeat the evil monsters
Let strength triumph and goodness!
Bakay told her about his brother's death
About the misfortunes endured, there was a tale:
- I am now a living dead man, twelve years have passed
I see the son of Manas for the first time!
Kardygaсh began to tear her cheeks in grief
She cried, learning of Manas's demise
She fell from her horse and lay in a stupor
So long that the meat could have boiled!
Regaining consciousness, Kardygaсh addressed the spirit of Manas
Prayed for his soul and for the repose
Realized what happened after her brother's death
And cried out fiercely, like an angry lioness:
- I will kill Abike and Kyobesh right now!
I will bring death to all forty choro!
Semetey stopped her and turned to his aunt:
- Edje, listen to me, so as not to bring trouble!
- To kill the relatives and all the choro of Manas
And I might have enough strength
This could disgrace us, however
What if the people later condemn us!
I will conquer the giants Akdoo and Kokdoo
Return, do not engage in battle with them
If you do not listen to me now
Then your affairs will not become mine!
Foreseeing that resistance was useless
Kardygaсh was able to understand the words
But she did not decide to go home
She began to guard the heroes from afar
- My poor orphan! - Bakay kept saying
While your enemies are still strong
Not all choro, understand, are equal now
There are honest among them, and there are liars!
Rebels, corrupted Kyrgynchal and Tazbaymat
Cowards, fleeing from the axe
But there are those like the well-known Shuutu
Brave and honest heroes!
Let us not rush
Without looking around, let us not go to war
Let us learn their intentions well
Then we will start to act and advance!
Bakay-khan advised Semetey
To hide in the gorge and wait quietly
He himself hurried to scout
To find out the whereabouts of Kyobesh and Abike.
