Kyrgyz. Born in Frunze. Graduated from KGMI (1978), postgraduate studies (1984), doctoral studies at the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences (1990).
Worked as a clinical resident at KGMI, surgeon at DKB No. 3, assistant, vice-rector, and since 1996 - rector of KGMA. Specialist in the field of surgery.
Academician of the Polish Academy and the International Academy named after Albert Schweitzer. Published more than 70 scientific works, including 3 monographs.
Under his supervision, 2 doctoral and 3 candidate dissertations have been defended.
