Iskander Yergaliyevich Sakavov
Candidate of Chemical Sciences. Born in 1933. Graduated from the Moscow Chemical Technology Institute named after D. I. Mendeleev. Studied in the postgraduate program at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
Since 1962, he worked at the Institute of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry of the Kyrgyz SSR Academy of Sciences as a research associate, later becoming the head of the laboratory, while also teaching at the Chemistry Faculty of KGNU, where he lectured on "Physical Methods of Research" and "Crystal Chemistry".
Specialist in the field of X-ray structural analysis.
Published over 90 scientific works. Author of 12 inventions.
His development of the use of electroerosion of metals in the synthesis of anhydrous metal chlorides, which find wide application in catalytic chemistry, is a solution to an important practical problem. The method for obtaining conductive liquid systems developed by I. Sakavov plays a significant role in electrochemical technology.
