Poet, prose writer Evgeny KolesnikovPoet and prose writer E. Kolesnikov was born on January 7, 1933, in the village of Veseloyarsk, Altai Krai, RSFSR, in a peasant family. In 1953, he graduated from Veseloyarsk Secondary School, and in 1961, he graduated from the Russian department of the philological faculty of KSU.
Since 1953, he worked as a laborer on construction sites in the Urals, and from 1961, he was a teacher of Russian language and literature at Kichi-Kemin Secondary School. From 1963, he was a literary staff member at the editorial office of the newspaper "Komsomolets of Kyrgyzstan," an editor at the publishing house "Kyrgyzstan," and from 1971, he was the head of the prose department at the editorial office of the magazine "Literary Kyrgyzstan."
Since 1986, he has been a literary consultant on Russian literature at the board of the Union of Writers of Kyrgyzstan.
He has been published since 1956. His first poetry collection "My Star" was published in 1965. He is the author of several collections of poems, novellas, short stories, and translations of works by K. Bayalinov and S. Sasikbaev into Kyrgyz, published as separate editions. The writer's works have been published in Kyrgyz, and the novella "Willow" has been published in Polish in Krakow.
The book "Moon Rider" (published by "Sovremennik," 1971) was awarded the Lenin Komsomol Prize of the republic in 1977.
He has been a member of the Union of Writers of the USSR since 1973.
He has been awarded Honorary Certificates from the Central Committee of the Komsomol of the USSR and the Central Committee of the Komsomol of Kyrgyzstan.
