Prose Writer Kachkynbay Sydygaliev

Since 1957, he worked as the chief physician of a district hospital in the village of Bek-Abad, Suzak district of Osh region, from 1960— as a therapist, then as deputy chief physician of the Chui Central Hospital, from 1966— as the chief physician of a district hospital in the village of Ivanovka, Issyk-Ata district, and from 1969, he served in the military as the head of the military medical service.
Since 1987, he has been engaged in creative work.
He has been published since 1976. Kachkynbay Sydygaliev's first book was a collection of short stories titled "Zhuroktogu taktar" ("Scars on the Heart"), published in 1981. He is the author of three collections of prose and fables.
He is an honored health worker of the Kyrgyz SSR (1976).
A member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1964, and a member of the Union of Soviet Writers since 1985.
He has been awarded the medals "60 Years of the Armed Forces of the USSR," "For Military Valor," "For Impeccable Service," and honorary certificates from the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR.
