FAO has transferred drip irrigation equipment to the breeding center of Kyrgyzstan

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) representation in Kyrgyzstan has transferred equipment for a drip irrigation system to the Kyrgyz Experimental Breeding Center. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The transferred equipment includes a drip irrigation system designed for a plot of 5 hectares, as well as three tanks, each capable of holding 5 tons of water.

As clarified by the ministry, this technical assistance was provided as part of the FAO project titled "Small Farmers as Innovators in Agriculture for Sustainable Agri-food Ecosystems."

The statement also notes that the project's goal is to improve access for family farms engaged in growing fruits and vegetables to modern resources, technologies, and knowledge.
