The Valley of Eki-Naryn

Eki-Naryn Valley

The name of the Eki-Naryn Valley translates from Kyrgyz as "two Naryn."

Eki Naryn (Two Naryn) is the confluence of the Big and Small Naryn rivers, located 44 km east of the city of Naryn and less than 400 km from Bishkek, at an altitude of about 2250 m.
Eki-Naryn Valley

A beautiful place with the purest air, abundant greenery, forests, and mountains, and an unreal starry sky at night. On the way to this place, you can see the confluence of the two rivers, the Big and Small Naryn. Here, there is a valley with growing pines and the "Salkyn Tor" National Park for wildlife protection, where mountain goats, deer, wild boars, bears, and snow leopards are found. The main goal of creating this national park is to preserve the deer population.

Nearby is a settlement also called Eki-Naryn. Archaeologists have uncovered remnants of ancient settlements in the vicinity. The valley remains a place that is almost unexplored by tourists. However, Kyrgyz people annually come here for summer vacations. They set up yurts, tend to livestock, and make felt decorations for their homes—enjoying the charms of life in the jailoo (summer pastures). The amazing untouched beauty of nature in this region will leave no one indifferent.
