Kulubaev discussed bilateral cooperation and upcoming elections with the German ambassador

Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, met with Monica Lenhard, the Ambassador of Germany to Kyrgyzstan.

During the meeting, the minister congratulated Lenhard on her new position and expressed his intention to develop Kyrgyz-German cooperation in various areas, including politics, economy, investment, and culture.

Discussing the agenda, Kulubaev emphasized the importance of implementing previously reached agreements that were signed during high-level official visits, as well as the prospects for joint work in areas such as transportation, tourism, and ecology.

In addition, the minister raised the issue of sanctions measures, emphasizing that Kyrgyzstan strictly adheres to its international obligations and supports an open and constructive dialogue with partners from the European Union to jointly prevent potential risks associated with circumventing sanctions.

Kulubaev also informed about the current political situation in the country, highlighting the importance of preparing for the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh, including attracting international observers.

In response, Monica Lenhard confirmed her readiness to actively work on strengthening bilateral relations, including within the framework of the "Central Asia – Germany" dialogue platform.
