Koichiev noted that this forum is not just a meeting of rectors but an important strategic platform for discussing the participation of higher educational institutions in the implementation of the national idea, which in turn will help strengthen state stability and nurture a new generation.
“The national idea 'Unguzhol' was developed for Kyrgyzstan and presented to society. A lot of work has been done over the past year, but it is not enough. One of the main problems lies in the indifference and formal approach of the scientific intelligentsia and universities,” he added.
In the context of globalization and rapid changes in global values, the need for prompt and well-founded decisions is becoming increasingly relevant. It is important for each country to maintain its uniqueness and develop, which requires long-term programs based on universal human values.
In this context, our country has approved the "National Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030," covering all areas. A plan of activities stemming from this program will be presented soon,” Koichiev informed.
He emphasized the importance of a systematic approach to state regulations and urged rectors and scholars to pay attention to this.
“Universities must actively participate in disseminating adopted decisions and implementing planned activities, as well as conducting scientific analysis and organizing discussions,” he added.
An important task for the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn will be to fulfill the role of a basic university for promoting the national idea.
He noted that KNU should not only prepare specialists but also form the intellectual and cultural elite of the country. The Association of Rectors of Higher Educational Institutions will play a significant role in this process,” said the Secretary of State.
Within the framework of the forum, the following tasks have been assigned to the National University, as the leading university of the Association:
- coordination of initiatives among universities for the implementation of the national idea;
- development of scientific and methodological programs and educational materials;
- creation of research platforms and interdisciplinary laboratories;
- organization of national forums, conferences, and discussion platforms.
Koichiev expressed the opinion that higher education should focus on the role of youth in society and develop activities within the framework of "Unguzhol." It is important to create a unified academic policy that combines educational standards, scientific strategies, and educational efforts.
“Universities must now become centers of upbringing, education, and scientific activity. It is necessary to combine the traditions and culture of the Kyrgyz people with modern challenges to achieve world standards. Our goal is to revive the Golden Age, to create a new Kyrgyz wave that will bring new achievements in art, sports, economy, construction, technology, and science. This task lies with higher educational institutions,” he emphasized.
The Secretary of State called on everyone to work together to create a strong and progressive nation, noting that it is necessary to transform from a consumer nation into a producing nation.
“From the forum, we expect initiatives and concrete actions. It is necessary for all of us to come together, supporting each other, to bring the set tasks to life. We have enough strength and potential for this,” Koichiev concluded.
