During the three days of the "Commonwealth of Fashion" forum, Dmitry Kobitsky, Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS, noted its important role in creating a platform for discussing the state agenda, economy, culture, and technologies that contribute to the development of the light industry and creative industries.

“Our task now is not only to develop these sectors but also to elevate them to a new level of technology while preserving our cultural heritage that is passed down from generation to generation,” he emphasizes.

According to Kobitsky, the CIS countries have everything necessary to achieve this goal: they possess strong artistic and craft traditions, a developed production infrastructure, qualified technologists and designers, as well as talented young designers and a growing interest in national brands.

The Secretary General also pointed out the need to focus on training new specialists.

“We have observed many promising young professionals in the creative industries and light industry. This generation confidently uses heritage while thinking in modern and technological ways. We must create conditions for their growth — from competitions and grants to internships and involvement in production processes,” he added.
