The document outlines strategic directions for the development of the industry, as well as measures aimed at deepening economic cooperation and increasing the number of tourists traveling between the member states. In particular, it is planned to create joint tourism products and develop routes, which will help raise awareness of the tourism potential of the EAEU countries at both domestic and international levels. Additionally, a special section dedicated to tourism will be launched on the Union's portal.
- Tourism plays a key role in economic growth and job creation. According to the World Travel and Tourism Council, in 2024 this sector will account for about 10% of global GDP, providing one in ten jobs. In the EAEU countries, the share of tourism in gross domestic product is approximately 3%, indicating significant potential for further growth.
It is expected that the implementation of the concept will lead to an increase in tourist flow between countries, enhance the contribution of tourism to the economy, and serve as an impetus for the development of infrastructure and job creation in the member states.
