The Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Arzybek Kozhoshev, announced that the cabotage transportation program for EAEU countries will start functioning in full capacity in 2026. This statement was made as part of the summary of the year 2025.

Kozhoshev also noted significant achievements in the field of transportation.

The digitalization of the transport sector continues. Work is underway to create software for the reliable securing of cargo. In addition, a pilot project has been launched for the use of electronic international transport consignment notes e-CMR, and activities have been conducted to implement navigation seals.

An agreement concerning permissible weights, axle loads, and dimensions of vehicles has been submitted for ratification.

The concept for the development of intelligent transport systems has been agreed upon, and a roadmap has been adopted, which outlines the main services.

It is important to note that a solution has also been developed for forming a pool of infrastructure projects for the "five" countries with third countries.

In the energy sector, a key achievement has been the creation of a contract form for joining the electricity trade within the EAEU. After its adoption, preparations will begin for the technological and informational platform for the electricity market.

In addition, indicative balances for oil, gas, and petroleum products have been compiled for the next three years.

A plan for the development of a common gas market has also been developed, and in the oil sector, projects for trading rules and the mechanism for exchange trading have been created.
