Eurasian Economic Commission Spartakiad: Kyrgyz Among the Best

At the headquarters of the Eurasian Economic Commission, an award ceremony was held for the winners of the Spartakiad. Bakytzhan Sagintayev, the chairman of the EEC board, congratulated the participants and presented them with gold medals.

More than 300 employees and officials from five countries that are part of the Eurasian Economic Union participated in the event. The championship gathered 106 winners aged from 20 to 60 years.

The Spartakiad included 26 different sports, among which were mini-football, volleyball, basketball, tennis, cross-country running, tug of war, chess, checkers, and other disciplines.
The Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the EEC, Arzybek Kozhoshev, won two gold medals for the 100-meter sprint and for victory in mini-football, as well as a bronze medal for third place in pull-ups.
The Minister of Economy and Financial Policy of the EEC, Bakyt Sultanov, won a gold medal in the billiards tournament and a bronze in mini-football. The first place in pull-ups was taken by the Minister of Trade of the EEC, Andrey Slepynev. The silver medal in the 3-kilometer cross was awarded to the Minister of Customs Cooperation, Ruslan Davydov. The Minister of Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation of the EEC, Maxim Yermolovich, took third place in the tennis tournament.

According to the results of the overall team tournament, the absolute winner was the block of the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, which won 44 medals, including 20 gold. Bakytzhan Sagintayev presented the winner's cup to Arzybek Kozhoshev.
