This concerns domestic flights
The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has proposed to exempt the country's air carriers from a number of fees. This step has become a subject of public discussion.
The initiative is aimed at reducing ticket prices and supporting domestic civil aviation.
The state enterprise "Kyrgyz Air Navigation" plans to charge only 50% of the standard fees for air navigation services from airlines. At the same time, carriers registered in Kyrgyzstan and operating regular flights on eight key routes will be able to avoid these fees altogether for seven calendar days after completing a flight.
It is also proposed to apply similar conditions to airport fees.
The joint-stock company "Airports of Kyrgyzstan" will receive a recommendation to charge only 50% of the fees from air carriers, while companies operating on the same eight routes will be fully exempt from payment for seven days.
