Kazakhstan has become the first country in the post-Soviet space to be assigned the third level of maturity in the regulatory system of drug provision according to WHO.
Health Minister Akmaral Alnazarova reported that WHO experts have already confirmed positive results on eight key indicators. The final assessment will take place in the first half of 2026.
At the same time, a new laboratory complex is being constructed in the capital of Kazakhstan, which will significantly expand the capabilities for drug testing and create conditions for the entry of Kazakh pharmaceutical products into international markets.
According to the minister, achieving the third level of maturity will be an important step in strengthening trust in the quality of domestic medications and will enhance the export potential of the country's pharmaceutical industry.
