Akmaral Alnazarova emphasized the importance of adhering to simple measures that can significantly reduce the likelihood of infection:

According to the ministry's data, since the beginning of the current season, 590 cases of influenza have been registered in Kazakhstan, of which 587 are of type A/H3N2, known as Hong Kong flu, which has been observed in the country since 2001. Rare cases of type A/H1N1 have also been recorded.

It is worth noting that last week, 17 cases of influenza were identified in Kyrgyzstan, of which 16 were of type A/H3N2 and 1 was of type B.

Influenza is an acute infectious disease affecting the respiratory system and caused by the influenza virus.
Although most people experience influenza in a mild form and recover within a few days, there are cases of severe illness that can lead to death. Influenza can also exacerbate chronic diseases.

The main symptoms of influenza include high fever (above 38 degrees), chills, and cough.
It was previously reported that the first cases of Hong Kong flu were registered in Hong Kong in mid-1968.
