A pediatric specialist, Syina Bokuyeva, strongly advises parents to avoid self-medication if their children fall ill with ARVI or other seasonal diseases.

In an interview on "Birinchi Radio," she noted that children can develop serious complications such as otitis, sinusitis, sinus infection, pneumonia, and lung inflammation.

"Children have their own characteristics, and their illness can quickly progress to a complicated form. Some may experience bronchial issues, sudden pneumonia, shortness of breath, as well as seizures at high temperatures," she explained.

Bokuyeva also emphasized that the clinical manifestations of diseases can change each year and depend on the child's age. In infants under 6 months, the course of the illness may be different due to the protection they receive through breastfeeding.
