
At the meeting, the participants agreed on the main parameters of cooperation in the field of water and energy resources. Considering the current situation with the Toktogul Reservoir, the parties decided to mutually support each other with electricity supplies and to work together on successfully navigating the heating season, as well as preparing for the upcoming growing season.
In addition, the parties agreed on joint measures to reduce energy consumption and improve energy efficiency in the region.
All participants in the negotiations noted that the work is being conducted in a spirit of good neighborliness and is aimed at strengthening energy security and stability in Central Asia. The Uzbek side also confirmed its readiness to provide technical conditions for ensuring transit, supplies, and balancing of the energy system.
As a result of the meeting, a tripartite protocol was signed, which legally formalizes the volumes of winter electricity supplies and water accumulation for the growing season of 2026.
