Kyrgyzstan has been elected as the chair of the SPECA Program for 2026, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy. This decision was made in Ashgabat during the SPECA week, which included the twentieth session of the Steering Committee and the second meeting of the SPECA Fund's Steering Committee.
The chairmanship in the program will provide Kyrgyzstan with unique opportunities to strengthen its international image, protect national interests, and actively participate in the development of the SPECA Program.
Among the significant outcomes of the events, it is also worth noting the adoption of documents necessary for the practical launch of the SPECA Fund, which will implement projects in the future, including those that will be carried out in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
For reference: the annual meetings of the SPECA Program's Steering Committee determine strategic directions, approve work plans, review reports, and make decisions regarding the activities of thematic working groups.
