How the phytosanitary control system works in Kyrgyzstan

Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic presented a video that clearly demonstrates how the phytosanitary certification system functions. This is an important element of state control, ensuring the safety and compliance of plant products with the requirements of the international market. Certification is necessary for exporting domestic goods abroad, as it confirms their safety and the absence of quarantine pests.

With the transition to digitalization, obtaining a certificate has become more accessible and faster within the agency. Currently, the export process for agricultural producers includes four main stages: submitting an electronic application through the state information system, receiving consultations, conducting laboratory tests of selected samples, and ultimately issuing the certificate. This algorithm not only minimizes bureaucratic obstacles but also provides the ability to track each batch of goods.

Experts note that phytosanitary certification is an important aspect of trust from international trading partners. Strict quality control of products contributes to strengthening the country's export potential and developing a sustainable agricultural economy. Currently, the phytosanitary certificate has become not just a document but a symbol of reliability and professionalism of Kyrgyz agricultural producers.
