The European Commission has made a decision that opens new horizons for local entrepreneurs.
An important event for the agricultural sector of the country has occurred: Kyrgyzstan is now officially included in the list of honey supplying countries for the European Union. This marks the end of lengthy negotiations and the beginning of a new phase for domestic producers.
The decision of the European Commission confirmed that the veterinary control system in Kyrgyzstan fully complies with the strict technical requirements of the EU. To prepare for exports, the Veterinary Service held consultations with producers across the country, developing a roadmap for export.
"This is an important strategic achievement, providing our beekeepers access to a market with high purchasing power," noted the relevant agency.
Previously, exports were impossible due to non-compliance of certification procedures with international standards, which blocked access to the European market.
