
An important decision to join the Agreement on Strengthening Ground Transport Connectivity in Central Asia was made by the Cabinet of Ministers. The head of the government signed the corresponding resolution No. 58.
The purpose of this agreement is to create the best conditions for local carriers and significantly improve international transport services. The main focuses of the document include the development of transit potential, ensuring fair competition, and significantly simplifying border procedures in the region.
In accordance with the established procedure, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic must send an official notification of its accession to this agreement to the Republic of Tajikistan, which is the depository of the document.
The implementation of the agreement implies the removal of administrative barriers and the acceleration of trade turnover between the countries of the region. The resolution will come into effect 15 days after its official publication.
