The Financial Market Regulation and Supervision Service presented information on electricity consumption by miners in Kyrgyzstan.

According to the provided data, in 2024, the total consumption amounted to 218.6 million kilowatt-hours, which is slightly more than the previous year when it was recorded at 213.3 million.

The second half of 2025 showed a load exceeding 20 million kilowatt-hours; however, in November it dropped to 5.7 million, and in December it reached zero. The main reason for this decline was the suspension of mining farm operations during the winter period.

Currently, there are only two legal mining farms operating in the country — one in Kemin and the other at the Kambar-Ata HPP-2, both under state control.

Last year, the share of mining in total energy consumption was about 1.1 percent, which, according to experts, does not have a significant impact on the republic's energy system.

In addition, miners contributed more than 206 million soms to the budget in the form of taxes.
