Kazakhstan Became the Leader of the EAEU in Gasoline Price Growth

According to the latest data from the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Kazakhstan has become the leader among the EAEU countries in terms of gasoline price increases in 2025. From January to December, the cost of fuel at gas stations rose by 15.7 percent, as reported by Orda.kz.

In second place is Kyrgyzstan, where the price increase was 15.1 percent, while Russia ranks third with an increase of 10.8 percent. In Belarus, prices rose by 6.7 percent, while in Armenia, gasoline prices decreased by 0.8 percent. On average across the EAEU, the price increase was 11.1 percent.

In 2026, Russia plans to supply Kyrgyzstan with 1.5 million tons of petroleum products.
As for diesel fuel prices, they also increased by 14.1 percent, which is the highest figure among the member countries of the union. Kyrgyzstan follows Kazakhstan with an increase of 11.1 percent, and then comes Russia with 8.3 percent. In Belarus, prices rose by 6.6 percent, while in Armenia, there was a decrease of 0.9 percent. Overall across the EAEU, the price increase for diesel was 8.8 percent.

Electricity prices in Kyrgyzstan rose by 20.9 percent, the highest figure among the EAEU countries. Russia is in second place with a growth of 13.1 percent, and Belarus is third with 11.9 percent. Kazakhstan ranks fourth with an increase of 8 percent. In Armenia, the increase was only 0.1 percent, while on average across the EAEU, the increase in electricity prices reached 12.6 percent.

Starting next year, a unified oil and petroleum products market is planned to be established within the EAEU, which should help equalize prices in the member countries. At the same time, the Kazakh Ministry of Energy continues to enforce a ban on the export of gasoline and diesel fuel, including supplies to other EAEU countries, except for previously agreed volumes.
