
According to the data from the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, the number of poultry in the country reached 8.6 million in 2025.

Based on information from the National Statistics, the country also registered 23,751 donkeys, 11,290 rabbits, and 217 camels.
Regional indicators and growth leaders
The largest number of poultry is concentrated in the Chui region, which accounts for about 40 percent of the total. It is followed by the Jalal-Abad and Osh regions.
As for cattle, most of them are located in the Osh (22 percent), Jalal-Abad (21 percent), and Chui (17 percent) regions, with the highest growth in cattle numbers observed in the Batken region, amounting to 2.6 percent.
In terms of sheep and goats, the leaders are the Jalal-Abad region (22.5 percent), Naryn region (17.7 percent), and Osh region (17.3 percent). In the Chui region, the number of these animals increased by 4.6 percent, while in the Naryn region, it decreased by 0.8 percent.
The Naryn region ranks first in horse breeding (26.3 percent of the total livestock) and yaks (47.1 percent).
Animal husbandry in remote areas
A significant portion of livestock is kept in remote locations, such as pastures and wintering grounds. Thus, 57 percent of all pigs, 45 percent of poultry, and approximately 18 percent of horses are located in such areas.
