On February 25, 2026, another meeting of the Kyrgyz-British Business Council took place in London, attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Representatives from the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the Ministry of Finance, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, along with participants from state and private commercial structures, as well as large international and British companies, were present at the event.
Speaking at the meeting, Kulubaev discussed the current socio-economic situation in the country, emphasizing the stable growth of Kyrgyzstan's economy, which recorded an increase in gross domestic product of 11.1% for the year 2025. He highlighted that this economic upturn was made possible by structural reforms, modernization of the economy, improvement of the investment climate, and implementation of major infrastructure projects.
The Minister emphasized that the Kyrgyz Republic places great importance on cooperation with the United Kingdom. He noted the successful interaction in areas such as consulting, manufacturing, natural resources, banking activities, and the issuance of eurobonds. Key areas for further cooperation were identified as energy, transport, logistics, information technology, agriculture, and tourism, including the creation of modern ski resorts.
Kulubaev also stressed the importance of establishing interaction between government structures and business within the framework of the Kyrgyz-British Business Council to attract new British partners and investors, stating the readiness of the Kyrgyz side to be a reliable and stable partner for British companies.
"British companies noted the positive trends in the economic development of Kyrgyzstan and the high potential for establishing mutually beneficial cooperation. They emphasized the openness and constructive approach of the Kyrgyz side to business interaction, as well as the intention for long-term partnerships. The British side expressed its readiness to recommend the Kyrgyz Republic as a reliable and promising place for investment and cooperation to other foreign business circles," the statement said.
