Industry revenues increased by 55%, amounting to 65.4 billion soms

According to Asel Raimkulova, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, in 2025, Kyrgyzstan achieved a record in revenues from mining companies, which totaled 65.4 billion soms. This statement was made at a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with agricultural policy, water resources, and environmental protection.

Raimkulova noted that over the past five years, the mining sector has become a key source for replenishing the state budget, providing tax revenues of more than 217.9 billion soms.

Compared to the previous year, revenues in 2025 increased by 155% compared to 42.2 billion soms in 2024. Such results were made possible by reforms and enhanced government oversight in this area, according to the Deputy Minister.

She also added that until 2020, the average annual gold production in the country was about 15 tons. However, from 2021 to 2025, there has been a steady increase: the average annual gold production reached 26 tons, and the total production over five years amounted to 141 tons.

Coal extraction also plays an important role in the economy, with about 4 million tons of coal being mined annually in Kyrgyzstan, which is a guarantee of the country's energy security.

As of the beginning of 2025, the mineral reserves in Kyrgyzstan are significant: about 1,000 tons of gold, 1,196 tons of silver, 960,000 tons of copper, and over 1.9 billion tons of coal. In 2025, new reserves were also discovered — 152 tons of gold and 14 million tons of coal, as well as new resources of silver, copper, and other mineral resources were included in the state balance.

According to Raimkulova, these results confirm that the state policy aimed at expanding the mineral resource base demonstrates stable and effective outcomes.
