At the briefing, the First Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce, Choro Seyitov, announced plans to create a unified digital platform for public procurement within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.

Seyitov noted that this initiative will allow entrepreneurs from all five member countries to see current processes and participate in tenders in neighboring markets.

He also mentioned a number of initiatives that are not widely known to the public, aimed at eliminating trade barriers and revising methodologies related to qualification obstacles.

According to the Deputy Minister, the Kyrgyz side has proposed an initiative for faster resolution of contentious issues to simplify mutual trade.

As part of this work, procedures are being implemented to assess the impact of international agreements and exchange best practices aimed at improving conditions for business.

A key aspect in the field of transport and infrastructure will be the digitization of all processes in the Eurasian transport corridors. Legal protection of intellectual property is also being pursued, along with efforts to ensure the stable operation of fuel and energy complexes in the energy sector.

Choro Seyitov also emphasized the importance of the agro-industrial sector and the provision of pharmaceuticals. He stated that indicative balances are used in the member states: when a shortage occurs in one country, markets quickly open for imports from others, which has already been successfully implemented with petroleum products.

Work is also ongoing to unify requirements for the production of pharmaceuticals and improve phytosanitary control so that livestock products meet strict standards.
