There is no expected shortage of fuel in Kyrgyzstan - Ministry of Economy

There is no anticipated shortage of fuel and lubricants in Kyrgyzstan, as Russia continues to be a reliable supplier of fuel for the republic. This was stated at a press conference by Choro Seiitov, the First Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce.

Seiitov noted that Russia, as the main source of supplies, ensures stability in the market by maintaining the necessary quotas for Kyrgyzstan, despite possible external economic fluctuations.

“Russia is our main supplier. We have established quotas, and we are confident that fuel reserves will be maintained,” he emphasized.

However, Kanatbek Eshatov, head of the Association of Oil Traders of the Kyrgyz Republic, previously mentioned that the cost of fuel and lubricants may increase by 2.5–3 soms. This could happen if wholesale fuel prices do not decrease.
