At a recent briefing, Danil Ibraev, president of the Kyrgyz Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and member of the Presidium of the Business Council of the EAEU, emphasized the need to accelerate integration within the Eurasian Economic Union. He noted that the creation of a single market for goods, energy resources, and finance, as well as the simplification of cargo movements across borders, are key tasks for the member countries of the union.

Ibraev stated that deepened integration will significantly improve trade conditions and enhance the competitiveness of companies, including those in the Kyrgyz Republic.

He also highlighted the importance of developing transport corridors that will allow Kyrgyz enterprises to more actively access international markets and utilize seaports, including those in Iran.

Danil Ibraev stressed the need to eliminate barriers to the movement of goods across borders.

In his opinion, the implementation of digital technologies, such as electronic seals, scanners, and digital certificates, will make the process of crossing customs borders almost seamless for businesses.

He noted that the creation of a single market for energy resources will allow enterprises to purchase oil and electricity directly from producers, which, according to him, will enhance competitiveness.

Ibraev also raised the issue of the need for the integration of financial markets among EAEU states.

According to Danil Ibraev, this does not imply the introduction of a single currency, but it does suggest the free use of financial instruments and access to banking services for all member countries of the union.

“Companies will be able to choose banks and credit products not only in Kyrgyzstan but also in the markets of Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Belarus,” he added.

Furthermore, he emphasized the necessity of further developing a common market for services and labor resources so that specialists from EAEU countries can work freely in partner states.

Danil Ibraev noted that Kyrgyzstan has recently begun to experience a labor shortage and is accepting labor migrants. He mentioned that workers from Uzbekistan, Pakistan, and Bangladesh are already arriving in the republic.

Overall, strengthening regional integration will allow EAEU states to adapt more quickly to global economic challenges and enhance the resilience of their economies.
