The project for the production and standardization of honey, proposed by Kyrgyzstan, has become one of the most important steps for developing a new direction in industrial cooperation within the EAEU. This was announced by Danil Ibraev, president of the Kyrgyz Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, who is also a member of the Presidium of the Business Council of the Eurasian Economic Union, at a recent briefing.

According to Ibraev, Kyrgyzstan produces one of the best varieties of honey, but in small volumes. The new project will help increase the production of quality products, making them competitive in the international market.

This initiative also includes accompanying activities, such as the development of specialized feeds for bees and support for beekeeping technologies. The main goal is to harmonize standards and create conditions for significant honey exports.

Danil Ibraev added that in 2026, the track of industrial cooperation in the agro-industrial sector will be officially expanded, which will open up opportunities for subsidizing such projects from the union's budget.

The development of the agro-industrial sector is considered a key aspect for all countries within the Eurasian Economic Union, as a significant number of people are involved in this field. Supporting such initiatives meets the interests of all participating states. It is also planned to launch cooperative projects involving three or more countries to create unified products with high export potential.

We remind you that the financial mechanism provided by the Eurasian Economic Commission allows for the compensation of interest rates on loans. This makes loans accessible to entrepreneurs at a rate of 6-6.5 percent, which can become an important incentive for the development of the honey industry and other projects in the agro-industrial complex.
