Active discussions are underway between Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan regarding the possibilities of expanding partnership in the light industry and agricultural sector. This was reported by Danil Ibraev, president of the Kyrgyz Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, in an interview on "Birinchi Radio".

Ibraev emphasized that the idea of supplying textile raw materials from Turkmenistan is currently being considered, which will allow Kyrgyz enterprises to start sewing and selling finished products both in local and international markets.

Although Turkmenistan is not a leading global producer, it still produces significant volumes of cotton. Both sides are discussing how the supply of this raw material to Kyrgyzstan can be organized and how textile production in the country can be developed.

In addition, mutual exchange of agricultural products is being considered. Currently, tomatoes are being imported from Turkmenistan to Kyrgyzstan, while Kyrgyzstan is exporting potatoes to Turkmenistan.
