Last year, around 45 meetings of the board were held within the EAEU, during which more than 360 acts were adopted. This information was announced by Elimbek Kanybek uulu, head of the EAEU coordination department, at a press conference at the "Kabar" agency. According to him, there were also 10 meetings of the prime ministers' council, where approximately 200 acts were approved. At the level of the intergovernmental council, 4 meetings took place, resulting in about 50 decisions, while at the presidential level, two meetings were held, leading to the adoption of around 34 acts.

Since the beginning of this year, two council meetings have already taken place: one was held in a conference format on February 24, and the second on March 13 in Moscow, where important issues were discussed.

“At the meeting on March 13, 35 issues were considered, including the approval of the Joint Action Program for Consumer Rights Protection for 2026-2030. This document aims to deepen cooperation among member states, create conditions for consumer rights protection, raise public awareness, develop common approaches considering digital transformation, and monitor the implementation of proposed measures. Special attention will be paid to the legal culture of the population through information campaigns and modern services that enhance consumers' knowledge of their rights and ways to protect them,” he noted.
Elimbek Kanybek uulu added that a technical regulation "On the Safety of Paints and Varnishes" was also adopted, which will come into force for Kyrgyzstan in 2032. To meet the requirements of this regulation, modernization of production processes and the introduction of modern technologies will be necessary, which will require time for the phased adaptation of enterprises.

In addition, following the meeting, a list of confectionery products subject to mandatory labeling with identification means was approved. Requirements for these means and the composition of information that must be exchanged between member states and provided to interested parties were established. Each state independently determines the deadlines and procedures for introducing labeling, notifying the commission at least 6 months prior to its implementation.
