At a recent briefing, Danil Ibraev, a member of the Presidium of the Business Council of the EAEU, shared his views on the true meaning of Eurasian integration. According to him, the main goal is for entrepreneurs from the member countries to be able to move goods freely without administrative barriers. For Kyrgyzstan, it is particularly important to develop transport corridors and eliminate export restrictions. Despite discussions about new routes, including pathways to seaports through Iran, domestic producers still face various challenges.
Ibraev noted that deepened cooperation among states should include the creation of common markets for financial and energy resources. He believes that prioritized integration will significantly reduce the number of obstacles to trade flows. In this context, the digitalization of customs administration plays a key role. The implementation of electronic certification and cargo tracking systems should minimize downtime at the border, speeding up logistics processes.
The expert also highlighted the advantages of direct contracts for the supply of energy resources between enterprises in EAEU countries. Eliminating intermediaries helps reduce costs and increase business competitiveness. However, the unstable situation in the Middle East negatively affects the development of new logistics routes. Military risks in this region create additional difficulties for transit, and Ibraev expressed hope for a swift peaceful resolution of the conflict, which would positively impact global trade.
In conclusion, it was emphasized that the successful implementation of digital initiatives and integration solutions will be an important stimulus for economic growth not only for Kyrgyzstan but also for other member countries of the Eurasian Union.
