According to the National Statistical Committee, from January to February 2026, 1,428 individual residential houses were put into operation in the republic, corresponding to a total construction area of 198 thousand square meters.

Compared to the same months in 2025, this figure increased by 8.2 percent. The volume of investments in fixed capital amounted to 6.1 billion soms.

The leader in construction rates was Bishkek, where 390 houses with a total area of 67.8 thousand square meters were commissioned, which is 40.6 percent more than last year.

City residents invested 2.7 billion soms in construction.

In addition to the capital, the top three regions by the number of houses commissioned included Jalal-Abad region (267 houses) and Chui region (244). However, the Jalal-Abad region saw a 24 percent decrease in construction volumes.

A negative trend was also recorded in Talas (a decrease of 18.5 percent) and Issyk-Kul (a decrease of 6.1 percent) regions. The least number of houses built was in Osh — only 22 houses.

The construction sector continues to be one of the main drivers of the country's economy. Overall, in January-February 2026, production volumes in the construction industry increased by 23.2 percent. This is associated with high domestic investment demand, which accounted for almost 79 percent of total investments at the end of 2025.
