
According to the provided information, the largest price increases since the beginning of the year were recorded for:
- services for the population — by 3.6 percent;
- food products and non-alcoholic beverages — by 2.1 percent;
- alcohol and tobacco products — by 2.2 percent;
- non-food goods — by 0.4 percent.
Price Changes in the First Two Months of 2026
At the beginning of 2026, the most significant price increase was observed for fresh vegetables, which rose by 10.4 percent.
Additionally, fresh fruits (up by 4 percent), potatoes (up by 3.8 percent), dairy products, cheese, and eggs (up by 3.6 percent), as well as sausage and canned meat products (up by 3.2 percent) also saw noticeable price increases.
Price increases also affected lamb (up by 2.3 percent), beef (up by 1.6 percent), vegetable oils (up by 1.4 percent), sugar (up by 1.2 percent), and fish (up by 0.9 percent).
At the same time, since the beginning of the year, there has been a decrease in prices for animal fats (down by 0.8 percent) and flour (down by 0.3 percent).
Price Changes in February 2026
In February 2026, prices and tariffs overall increased by 1.2 percent compared to January.
The most noticeable price increases were for:
- tariffs for services to the population — by 2.9 percent;
- food products and non-alcoholic beverages — by 1.1 percent;
- alcohol and tobacco products — by 1.4 percent.
However, non-food goods decreased in price by 0.2 percent in February.
During this month, the largest price increases were seen for fresh vegetables and fruits (by 5.3 and 3.2 percent respectively), non-alcoholic beverages (by 1.6 percent), as well as dairy products, cheese, and eggs (by 1.5 percent).
Price increases also affected sugar (by 1 percent), cereals (by 0.8 percent), lamb (by 0.8 percent), beef (by 0.7 percent), fish (by 0.4 percent), and baked goods (by 0.2 percent).

Regional Differences in Price Growth
According to the National Statistical Committee's data, in January-February 2026, prices and tariffs increased in all regions of Kyrgyzstan.
The largest increase in costs (4.2 percent) was recorded in the Issyk-Kul region, where alcoholic beverages and tobacco products rose significantly (by 5.8 percent) and tariffs for services to the population increased (by 12.1 percent).
In the Osh region, the highest growth in prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages (by 3.5 percent) and non-food goods (by 3.3 percent) was observed.
Monitoring of the Food Basket by 24.kg
24.kg continues to conduct weekly monitoring of prices for a minimum set of products. Over the past week, the cost of the food basket decreased by 484 soms and now amounts to 7,290 soms.
In Bishkek, prices for bread, potatoes, carrots, apples, eggs, and fish increased over the week, while cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, onions, and pears became cheaper.

24.kg weekly tracks prices for the same set of products in the same supermarket, where prices may differ from market prices, as supermarkets often have promotions.
Analysis shows that since the beginning of monitoring in late October 2018, the price of the food basket has increased by 4,020 soms. Since the beginning of 2026, it has risen by 567 soms, and compared to the same period in 2025, it has increased by 1,147 soms.
Salary Dynamics in Kyrgyzstan
In January 2026, according to the National Statistical Committee, the average nominal salary in enterprises and organizations of all types of economic activity increased by 16.1 percent compared to January 2025.
Today, it amounts to 45,797 soms, according to the National Statistical Committee's information.

As of the end of January-February 2026, there were 38,000 registered unemployed in the country, which is 21.5 percent less compared to last year.
