
In Perm Krai, the Rosselkhoznadzor management has given the green light for the import of the first batch of fresh carrots from Kyrgyzstan, weighing a total of 20.7 tons. Last year at this time, there were no recorded supplies of carrots from Kyrgyzstan to this region. Specialists from the management, together with experts from the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Phytosanitary Surveillance, checked the necessary documents and conducted sample analyses, resulting in no violations or quarantine organisms being detected. The products also received a phytosanitary certificate.
According to information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan, in 2025, the foreign trade turnover of the agricultural sector increased by 22% compared to the previous year. The total volume amounted to 186,138.4 million soms, which corresponds to 2,131.2 million US dollars. The export of products from agriculture and the processing industry reached 33,021.3 million soms, of which 7,045 million soms were from crop production.
Carrots hold a significant place in the structure of vegetable exports. In 2025, their export volume to foreign markets amounted to 8,405 tons. The main export destinations include six countries, with Russia being the leader at 4,546 tons. Carrots were also shipped in significant volumes to Uzbekistan (2,610 tons), Tajikistan (849 tons), Mongolia (353 tons), Kazakhstan (38 tons), and Armenia (8 tons).
Since the beginning of 2026, carrot exports have totaled 1,013 tons, of which 902 tons were sent to the Russian Federation and 111 tons to the Republic of Kazakhstan. All exported products are accompanied by the necessary documents, including accompanying and phytosanitary certificates, and the processing and control are carried out by the authorized state body in accordance with the requirements of the importing countries. This guarantees free access for Kyrgyz agricultural products to the markets of Russia and other EAEU countries.
