In the city of Osh, local residents have noticed a lack of road signs and traffic lights following the repair of city roads.

Turmush reports that on March 25, a meeting took place in Osh between representatives of local authorities, the internal affairs department, and the city prosecutor's office with the residents of the city.

During this meeting, people raised important issues regarding the absence of necessary road infrastructure on the recently updated streets. For example, one resident of Remeslennikov Street noted that after the completion of work on Alisher Navoi Street, the speed of vehicles significantly increased, leading to a rise in the number of traffic accidents.

According to her, there have been several recent incidents involving children, one of which ended tragically — a child died. "Alisher Navoi Street was recently completely asphalted, but now cars are moving at high speeds. There are not enough speed limit signs. When we requested the installation of traffic lights, we were told that there were no appropriate permits. We urgently ask for traffic lights and speed limit signs to be installed in the necessary areas," the woman shared.

Additionally, the meeting discussed the lack of pedestrian crossings and road signs on the section from Kurmanjan Datka Street to the "Teshik-Tash" market. Residents also requested attention to this issue.

During the discussion, it was emphasized that all recently repaired roads urgently need to have pedestrian crossing markings, traffic lights installed, and an increase in the number of signs regulating vehicle speed.

According to information from the Osh city administration, in 2025, approximately 82–83 kilometers of roads were repaired and 21–22 kilometers of sidewalks were laid in the city.
