On March 27, the Chairman of the State Tax Service, Almambet Shykmamatov, met with farmers and livestock exporters from the Jalal-Abad, Osh, and Batken regions.

During the discussion on issues related to the reassessment of taxes on livestock and meat product exports, Shykmamatov noted that a law had previously been adopted that reduced the amount of reassessed tax to 20%. At the same time, the remaining 80% of the tax, as well as fines and penalties, are subject to write-off.

Entrepreneurs expressed the opinion that even 20% of the sales value represents a significant financial burden. They also emphasized that, considering the availability of primary documents, the profit tax could be calculated based on the difference between the purchase and sale prices, which would ultimately amount to about 10%.

As a result of the meeting, the head of the State Tax Service proposed amendments to the legislation that would reduce the amount of reassessed tax from 20% to 3% for exporters of livestock products. Almambet Shykmamatov emphasized that the successful activities of entrepreneurs directly affect the stability and development of the country's economy.

He added: "The key task is to ensure legality, fair taxation, and order."

This initiative was positively received by the business community, as noted by the State Tax Service.
