Kyrgyzstanis Took Out Microloans Amounting to 86 Billion Som in 2025

According to data from the National Statistical Committee, in 2025, the total amount of microloans issued by various organizations reached 86 billion soms. Notably, over 62 percent of this amount was used for consumer needs.

The number of citizens who utilized microloans approached 1.7 million. This is a 50 percent increase compared to the figures from 2024, while the total volume of issued loans increased by almost 32 percent.

The highest number of borrowers and the largest loan amounts were registered in Bishkek, as well as in the Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Chui regions.

In the structure of issued loans, the greatest attention is still given to consumer needs (about 62 percent). Fifteen percent of the loan funds were directed towards the development of the agricultural sector, while more than 10 percent consists of loans for trade and public catering.
