At the meeting, Asanbaev expressed gratitude to the country's leadership for their trust and noted that he would actively work on the development of the sports sector, strengthening infrastructure, and creating conditions for training highly qualified athletes.
Also during the event, there was a farewell to the previous director, Kazybek Moldazhiyev.
Brief biography of Urmat Asanbaev:
• Since 2007, he has been working at the Kyrgyz State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports as a teacher and coach in national sports.
• From 2009 to 2011, he held the position of instructor at the sports club "Ayuu" (Sokuluk).
• In 2013-2014, he taught national sports at the T. Ermatov Musical Pedagogical College.
• From 2013 to 2015, he worked as an instructor at the sports club "Zamandash".
• Since 2018, he has been the vice president of the ADCC Grappling Federation of Kyrgyzstan.
• In 2018-2019, he served as the head of the civil defense and safety service at the Kaba Uulu Kozhomkul Sports Palace.
• From 2019 to 2021, he worked as the deputy director of the Directorate of National Sports.
• Since 2021, he has held the position of director of the "Zhashtyk" directorate, responsible for Olympic sports and the organization of mass sports events at the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports.
Achievements and awards:
• Awarded honorary certificates from the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports, as well as the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.
• Holder of the anniversary medal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic "95 Years to Kyrgyz Militia".
• Title of Excellence in Physical Culture and Sports, as well as the status of Honored Coach of the Kyrgyz Republic in Kulaatu wrestling.
• Recognized as the best athlete in 2009 and the best coach in 2013.
• Holds a 6th dan black belt in Kulaatu wrestling and a brown belt in WTF taekwondo.
• National category judge in Kulaatu wrestling and international judge class "B" in ADCC grappling and other sports.
