On November 11, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, met with the Japanese ambassador to the country, Hidetaka Goda, to mark the completion of his diplomatic mission.

In his address, the head of state expressed gratitude for the ambassador's diligent work and noted that Japan is a reliable partner for Kyrgyzstan in its pursuit of sustainable development.

The president emphasized that thanks to cooperation with the Japanese government, important socio-economic projects are being implemented in Kyrgyzstan, significantly improving the lives of citizens and strengthening relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, Sadyr Japarov noted that the number of Japanese tourists has increased in recent years, which has been made possible by Hidetaka Goda's efforts to develop bilateral ties and promote Kyrgyzstan as a tourist destination.

Hidetaka Goda, in turn, expressed gratitude to the president for the support and warm relations he received during his work in Kyrgyzstan.

He also added that Kyrgyz-Japanese cooperation has reached a new level, especially after the official visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic to Japan, which gave a new impetus to the development of bilateral relations.

The ambassador reported an increase in the flow of tourists from Japan to Kyrgyzstan, pointing to the president's meeting with representatives of the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA) in 2023 in Tokyo, which contributed to promoting Kyrgyzstan as an attractive travel destination.

Hidetaka Goda emphasized that Japan considers Kyrgyzstan a key partner in the region and plans to continue supporting cooperation in various areas — political, economic, humanitarian, and cultural.
