According to the information from the first deputy minister of health of Kazakhstan, Timur SultanGaziev, there are currently about two million reported cases of infection in the country, as reported by IA "NewTimes.kz".
He also reported that the number of beds for patients has been increased to 12,000, but the occupancy rate is only 66%, and for children's beds, it is 74%.

SultanGaziev reminded about the recommendations established by the chief sanitary doctor, including the possibility of wearing masks in public places.
During a meeting of the Mazhilis, Timur SultanGaziev stated that there are currently no plans to introduce a mandatory mask regime in the country.
Previously, in the capitals Astana and Almaty, there was a rapid spread of an unknown virus among children, which led to an increasing number of young patients with pneumonia symptoms being admitted to hospitals.
