During the early elections of the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, which took place in most regions of Kyrgyzstan, the head of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Sultan Makilov, reported on the air of Birinchi Radio that serious violations of public order were not registered.

He noted that investigative activities are currently underway regarding possible cases of voter bribery.

“Some individuals have been detained on criminal cases related to vote buying under Article 196. At the moment, some of the detainees are in custody until the investigation is completed, and the investigative authorities have requested an extension of the preventive measure for two months. After the investigative actions are completed, the court will make a decision in accordance with the law,” added Makilov.

He also emphasized that all reports of alleged violations will be thoroughly checked and will receive appropriate legal assessment.

In addition, Makilov reminded of the existence of a special section of the registers on the website of the Central Election Commission, where all appeals received by both the CEC and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are published.

“Some citizens may claim that they have submitted complaints but have not received a response. However, by opening the section of the registers, one can see all appeals and decisions, including those sent to the CEC and those received by the internal affairs agencies,” he noted.
